Denver AyresAssistant Pastor Biography
Denver Ayres grew up on a large farm in rural North East Indiana. He was raised in and around church through the influence of his father and grandparents. He accepted Christ at a church camp, in nearby Shipshewana, at age 9. Upon graduating high school, he left home to enlist in the Air Force. He was stationed overseas and served in Portugal (Azores), Saudi Arabia, and England. While stationed in England, he began a friendship that has lasted for over twenty years with Todd Adams, the senior pastor of Faith Baptist Church. Commissioned from his church in England, he was given the opportunity to serve at Brasov, Romania, in a conference for missionaries across Eastern Europe. It was during this time that he surrendered to God’s call on his life to full time Christian service.
Pastor Denver has been in full time ministry since 2004. He has served in various capacities and pastoral roles in Indiana, North Carolina, West Virginia, Louisiana, and Tennessee. Currently he serves as an assistant pastor at Faith Baptist Church, with primary responsibilities for the Church’s Discipleship, Evangelism, and Children’s Ministries.
Pastor Denver is a graduate of Trinity Baptist Bible College in Jacksonville, Florida. He has engaged in continuing studies through Liberty University and Trinity Baptist Bible College.
