Mike and Jody are church planters through Church Planting America. Believing God wanted Herdzik to start a work, the Church Planting America organization was given a piece of property, providing they could find someone to pastor this old church. Mike and his family moved to this area in 2010 and launched a church out of this existing facility with a new name: New Beginnings Baptist Church.
It has been a long, difficult struggle for them in a very rural and disconnected area. To help ends meet, Mike works as a school bus driver and cuts down trees as work is available.
They have five children (not pictured): Anna, Mike, Philip, Ave-Mae, and Daniel. Please pray for them as they continue ministering to their community.
