Galatians 5:22, 23 says;
“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance:

It’s very true that you will “hear” God speak when you are in a relationship with Him.

If you’re praying for God to do something in your life then you must be prepared to obey because obedience is the key that unlocks the clarity you’re seeking.

Genesis 22:1
“And it came to pass after these things, that God did tempt Abraham, and said unto him, Abraham: and he said, Behold, here I am.”

Hineni is a way of expressing total readiness to give oneself to God-it’s an offer of total availability!

How will you respond when your hineni moment comes?

I. Relinquish Control

The Christian life is to be a life of complete and continual surrender.

I Corinthians 6:19, 20
“What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.”

The main problem most Christians have when it comes to serving Christ is that it is very inconvenient, often costly and gets in the way of our comfort.

IV. Resolve To Follow Christ

God is still calling people, the question is how will you reply?

The Lords Table is not another holiday meal we simply consume, it’s a holy meal designed to remind us of Christ’s sacrifice.

I Corinthians 10:17
“For we being many are one bread, and one body: for we are all partakers of that one bread.”

III. A PRACTICAL RESPONSE

I Corinthians 11:28
“But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of that bread, and drink of that cup.”

The purpose of examination is participation!

Psalm 12:1
“Help, LORD; for the godly man ceaseth; for the faithful fail from among the children of men.”

*Many guys have no idea what it actually means to “man up” and be a man according to God’s standard.

I. HEAR THE CALL TO MANHOOD

Genesis 3:9, 10
“And the LORD God called unto Adam, and said unto him, Where art thou? And he said, I heard thy voice in the garden, and I was afraid, because I was naked; and I hid myself.”

*Sin causes the inner voice of God in your life to be muted and instead of fulfilling your mission you run off and hide.

1. Vicarious living
2. Self-gratification
3. Workaholic

*Guys when we become tone deaf to God’s call to manhood we also become deaf to the cry of our family who are desperate for our love and affection.

II. RECEIVE THE CHARGE OF MANHOOD

I Kings 2:1-4
“Now the days of David drew nigh that he should die; and he charged Solomon his son, saying, I go the way of all the earth: be thou strong therefore, and shew thyself a man;And keep the charge of the LORD thy God, to walk in his ways, to keep his statutes, and his commandments, and his judgments, and his testimonies, as it is written in the law of Moses, that thou mayest prosper in all that thou doest, and whithersoever thou turnest thyself: That the LORD may continue his word which he spake concerning me, saying, If thy children take heed to their way, to walk before me in truth with all their heart and with all their soul, there shall not fail thee (said he) a man on the throne of Israel."

Romans 5:19
“For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.”
